GitHub Copilot is all-in on agents. Check out Agent Mode, and a first look at our Autonomous SWE agent.
AI-powered development is evolving fast! 🚀 GitHub Copilot's Agent Mode and autonomous SWE agent are game-changers for productivity. Excited to see how this transforms coding efficiency! 🔥 #AI #SoftwareDevelopment #SEO #DigitalMarketing
seriously LinkedIn , Microsoft ? you already restricted my profile for my "safety" due to "suspicious activity" 3 times within 1 month. Each time I had to verify my identity using a government issued ID. is it really only because I speak uncomfortable truth too loud? Or you just can't believe me is me? Or did we met and you don't like me? Just go ahead and ban me already. I don't want to stay unwelcome. apparently, I am so dangerous.. 😒😒
I have tried this and found it to be quite impressive. It is comparable to other models in its performance. However, I would appreciate it if you could release it and include additional models, such as reasoning models like DeepSeek.
While traditional Copilot functions are mainly focused on assisting with programming, the introduction of Agent Mode enables AI to actively participate in complex tasks, rather than being limited to code hints and error correction. This shift is similar to evolving from an “assistant” to a “team member”, significantly improving developer efficiency.
This is an exciting development for GitHub Copilot Satya Nadella. The addition of AI agents takes the platform to a whole new level, allowing for even more efficient and effective coding. I particularly appreciate the inclusion of multi-model choice, giving users the ability to choose the language model that best suits their needs. Project Padawan also sounds like a game-changer, providing a seamless way to assign issues and receive fully-tested pull requests.
This is a significant leap forward for GitHub Copilot. Agent Mode and Project Padawan sound incredibly powerful, promising to automate much of the tedious work in software development. The addition of multi-model support for Copilot Edits is also a smart move, giving developers more flexibility. It's exciting to see AI evolving from a helpful assistant to a true collaborative partner in coding.
That's amazing! I can see it being used to solve minor issues and act as a PR reviewer alongside Copilot, essentially like having an extra junior developer on the team, or providing a starting point to understand complex issues. Can't wait for Jira to integrate this capability into its ticketing system to speed up development workflows even more.
Amazing Satya Nadella. I can confirm that I use Copilot on daily basis now and has helped me increase my productivity by atleast 300%. Its truly amazing how Microsoft has been at the forefront of AI innovation and has always embraced new technologies and modern practices with open arms. I truly believe Microsoft is in great hands with you, Satya Nadella.
Exciting development! Agents are transforming software engineering. Can't wait to explore GitHub Copilot's Autonomous SWE agent and see how it revolutionises coding workflows.
Agent Mode allows Copilot to iterate on its own code, propose and guide terminal commands, and analyze and resolve run-time errors. That's a nifty feature, turning Copilot into a more autonomous helper. Definitely keen to see how Project Padawan takes this even further later this year.
