Launch of the African Economic Outlook 2021

On Friday, 12 March 2021 the African Development Bank launched its flagship report – African Economic Outlook 2021 – an annual review of African economic performance. This year’s report entitled, “From Debt Resolution to Growth: The Road Ahead for Africa” focuses on debt resolution, governance and growth in Africa, while most countries are still reeling from the harsh socioeconomic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. The report addresses the fundamental question of how to regain growth post-COVID, and what must countries do to avoid debt distress.
