Tax day is officially here in the United States. Even though searches for “tax advisor” usually spike in February, this year we saw search interest in that phrase hit an all-time high this month. Searches for “how to file a tax extension” increased +170% over the past week, but across the country starting on April 6 more people were searching for “tax deadline” than “tax extension.”

Whether it was big-picture questions like "is it better to get taxes done or do them yourself?" or details like "do I need a tax form for my 401k?" people were turning to Search for their filing needs. Here were the top trending tax-related questions this month:
