Home/News and Events/The “High 5” priorities proven as springboard for African development
Over the past 5 years, investment at the African Development Bank Group has been guided by its High 5 priorities, a strategy set by President Akinwumi Adesina as his visionary framework for development in Africa.
With an overall objective to “light up and power Africa,” “feed Africa,” “industralize Africa,” “integrate Africa” and “improve the quality of life for the people of Africa,” results can be seen through the various cross-border road projects, water and sanitation improvements, infrastructure rehabilitation and constructions, farmer trainings and more.
Since 2015, the African Development Bank has also focused efforts on developing bankable projects, approaching nearer to its regional member countries, improving policy dialogue and increasing public-private partnerships.
