World Teachers’ Day 2024

Each year, World Teachers’ Day falls around the beginning of the school year or the start of a new semester for many countries. It’s a busy time for teachers, whether they’re connecting with their new students or ramping up on classwork preparations. And this year’s theme — “Valuing teachers’ voices: towards a new social contract for education” — reminds us of the passion teachers bring to their profession daily, doing everything it takes to positively impact their students’ lives.

To honor the passion and dedication of teachers everywhere, we’re spotlighting teacher stories from around the world and showing how we continue to support learning and education.
